More than eighty percent of the fire departments in the US are staffed with volunteers. The majority of these departments serve rural or suburban populations; the annual fire call reports for these departments show numbers in the hundreds, not the thousands. In this environment, it's more important, not less, that firefighting, driving, and communication skills be kept up. Most volunteer departments must meet several sets of standards imposed by various agencies, for various call types - on a limited budget, and with limited man-hours. Volunteers need training that meets these standards, but works the rural firefighting environment and fits into a schedule that accomodates the fire department, a family, and an outside job. That training simply hasn't been available - until now.
We build our training programs around your volunteers' schedule - whether it's our self-study Fire Service Computer Based Learning TM Series that allows recruits and old hands alike to come up to speed in their own time, or our PowerPoint Program Series that gives your trainers platform-ready courses right out of the box, with a less time spent researching and writing lesson plans.
Our RECRUIT TRAINING is specifically designed to bring your new members up to speed quickly. Get them on the fireground and participating fully in drills sooner, and you'll keep more of them. Recruits will operate more safely and effectively - and your training will be up to NFPA and NWCG standards. Your new firefighters will learn to do the job right, according to YOUR departments's policies and procedures.
Our DRIVER/OPERATOR TRAINING covers all of the job requirements of NFPA 1002. We also deal with the challenges of the rural and suburban environment. In most programs, we include training dealing specifically with wildland and wildland/urban interface situations - so your drivers will be ready, and your department will be protected, no matter what the call.

ARIZOFT training materials are written and evaluated by volunteer and career firefighters - and designed with the rural volunteer and Firefighter/EMT in mind.
